Multicultural Families Group:

Join a group of caregivers from around the world, learning how to navigate the challenges of raising your kids in a culture that is foreign to you

Caregivers of Neurodiverse Kids Group:

Does your kiddo have a diagnosis—or do you suspect they might be neurodivergent? Join the club! We’re building community and creating a supportive space for caregivers of neurodivergent kiddos to connect, share resources, and support one another.

Complete this to get on the email list! We have family and parent meet ups happening soon!

 Caregivers of Gender Diverse Kids:

Building Leadership Team Needs Two Parent Reps

Whittier’s Building Leadership Team (BLT) is seeking two parent representatives for 2027-2029!

This volunteer position is a two-year commitment. The BLT meets for an hour and a half in the afternoon on the first Monday each month throughout the school year to discuss curriculum, building strategy, budget, and other school wide topics. The BLT is made up of two parent representatives, the principal, an administrative representative, representatives from the different grade level teachers, a representative from the Specialists and a learning interventionist representative.

It’s a great way for parents to understand issues that affect the school and represent parent voices in the process.

Please direct questions and interest to the current parent reps: Kate Lindsay Scher (Scher.kate@gmail.com) and Katie Stiver (katiestiver@hotmail.com).

SPRING SOFTBALL! Catch the fever!

Sign up now for Girls Softball with Northwest Seattle Little League!

There are teams for all ages, but we are especially seeking players for the youngest levels, A (ages 6-8) and AA (ages 8-9).

Practices and games start in March at the earliest. Click here to register.

Questions? Contact John Dugan at john.b.dugan@gmail.com. We can help walk you through the sign-up process and age/level decisions.

Let’s play ball!

Whittier Ultimate Frisbee is recruiting 3rd–5th grade students for the Spring 2026 season!

The “WUF Gang” welcomes active, team-oriented players of all experience levels. Ultimate is a fun, all-gender, non-contact sport that combines running, passing, and catching a frisbee to score in the end zone—similar to soccer or basketball. Guided by the “Spirit of the Game,” players learn teamwork, respect, and fair play in a unique no-referees environment.

Space is limited! We are currently in need of coaches to field at least one gender-balanced team for the younger classes, grades 3 and 4, so please reach out if you are interested.

Practices are held weekly after school at Loyal Heights, starting on February 25.

Learn about the team and contact Coach Darby for more info: darby.mcshain@gmail.com.

Thank you, Wildcats!
