We as a PTA invite you to join us at a community budget meeting and CANSSPA information session on Wednesday 10/7 from 7-8:30pm in the Whittier Library.
The first half of the meeting will cover our proposed budget to be voted on at our next PTA meeting on October 13th. We will review all proposals, gather input and answer questions.
Of note, this budget is updated from the budget presented at our meeting on September 15th. This budget does not include any PTA funds being allocated outside of Whittier at this time.
The second half of the meeting will be an information session with representatives from The Central and North Seattle Schools PTA Alliance (CANSSPA). This is an opportunity to learn more about this PTA Equity opportunity, and have your questions answered.
Please join us for this month’s PTA meeting on October 13th from 7-8:30pm in the Whittier Library and over Zoom!
It’s a great way to learn about all the awesome things our PTA does, and connect with our wonderful community.
We’re still WILD about keeping up Whittier’s culture of giving, so the Annual Give drive has been extended through 10/9!
We’ve raised $54,000 of our $130,000 goal -THANK YOU!
However, without more participation, programs are at risk.
Since we typically raise about $45,000 through employer matching, we’ll end the campaign roughly $31,000 under goal without more participation. Annual Give funds what state and district dollars don’t cover, like our 5-day specialist schedule (Art, Performing Arts, PE), extra nurse time, and reading support, and if giving stays at this level year after year, those programs are at risk. Please donate today and if your employer matches, submit that match as soon as you can.
