Upcoming PTA Meeting & Advocacy Opportunity on November 10th
Hey Wildcat caregiver, did you want to get more involved in our advocacy efforts and just never found the time? Do you want to learn more about WA state school budget gaps and how they’re affecting our school? Join us on November 10th at 6:30PM at the school library, for a pre-PTA Meeting session where we’ll go over some background, and then sit together in silence as we all hectically and passionately write to our newly (re)elected representatives about what we would like to see change in school funding.
Then, stick around for this month’s PTA meeting from 7-8:30pm in the Whittier Library and over Zoom!
Thanks for supporting the Whittier Library program!
Reflections National Art Contest: 2026 - 2027
Whittier is excited to participate in the National PTA Reflections Art Program this year! Students are invited to create an original work of art inspired by the 2026–27 theme, “What My Culture Means to Me,” for a chance to be recognized at the local, state, and even national level!
Students can submit entries in a variety of categories, including visual arts, photography, literature, music, dance, and film. An Accessible Arts Division is also available.
Submit your entry by November 20! Email your artwork and completed entry form to vp@whittierptaseattle.org, or drop off both at the front office.
Join us for some fun on the ice with our family ice skating event at the Kraken Community Iceplex during Thanksgiving break!
To reserve your spot, use the payment link below. Please plan to arrive about 30 minutes early to check in, receive your bracelet, and get your skates before hitting the ice. The Iceplex will provide some skate aids for our group.
Quiet Space Available: The facility will have a private room between Rinks 2 and 3 for individuals with sensory sensitivities who may need a quieter space or a break from the rink activity. Some rink noise will still be audible.
We are also looking for volunteers to help sign in skaters at the beginning of the event!
Can’t wait to see everyone on the ice! If you have any questions, please contact Bonnie Smith at bonnie1pang@gmail.com
