PTA Meetings: 2024-2025
PTA MEETINGS
Whittier PTA hosts monthly meetings where we provide updates on our fundraising and other committee work, discuss and vote on key issues (like budget, staffing grants, services, and more), and connect with Principal Watters. All are welcome (members and non-members!). These meetings are hybrid; Whittier community members can attend in-person (at the Whittier library) or online via Zoom. Agendas are generally posted the week before the meeting; agendas can be viewed here. If you would like to ask a question or have an item added to a future meeting, please contact president@whittierptaseattle.org.

PTA WORKING SESSIONS
This year, Whittier PTA is also hosting informal work sessions at the Whittier Library from 7-9pm. Work sessions are open-house style (come/leave whenever) with dedicated topics for informal discussion. All community members are encouraged to bring any volunteer work to these meetings and use the time to collaborate with others.
- 10/1/24: Hands-on help for Fall Festival while we talk about our events strategy.
- 11/5/24: Election Night! Watch results come in and we’ll talk about engagement ideas with our School Board and Legislative leaders.
- 1/7/25: We’ll talk about the PTA’s structures and roles in prep of Nom Com’s work.
- 2/4/25 – Focus on Funding: Survey Results, Grants & PTA Budget
- 3/4/25 – Hands-on help for Family Dance and Game Night and Move-a-thon while we talk about our Volunteer Engagement (how are we getting many hands?).
- 4/1/25 – Next Year Logistics: ‘25-’26 Budget & PTA Board Slate
- 5/6/25 – Hands-on Help: Spring Fling & Appreciations
Above Dates Don't Work for You?
We want to help anyone be engaged! Kate, Whittier PTA President, will be available on Mondays from 8:30-10:30am (in-person or virtually) if you’d like to connect during a different time or setting.
